This specimen was lot 42188 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2026), where it sold for $576. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Trade Tokens. Wales. Anglesey. Amlwch. Parys Mint Co. Copper Penny Token, 1788. NGC MS-64 Red Brown Prooflike. Obverse: Druid's head within wreath; Reverse: Legend surrounding initials and date. A new and upcoming popular series, the Druid head token has become a staple at auction. The present example is originally well made, with reflective surfaces and some attractive patina forming."
