This specimen was lot 40239 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Chicago, August 2024), where it sold for $4,560. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Trade Tokens. Wales. Anglesey. Parys Mine Co. Silver Penny Token, 1787. PCGS PROOF-62. Wreath with 30 acorns (18 to left, 12 to right). An EXTREMELY RARE offering in silver, this nearly-Choice proof issue presents enchanting iridescence upon each side, all while a delightful gunmetal gray nature highlights as the backdrop. From the Richard Margolis Collection." This specimen was offered again as lot 75162 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, May 2025), where it sold for $2,520.
