Sincona sale 33, lot 2731

This specimen was lot 2731 in Sincona sale 33 (Zürich, October 2016), where it sold for 200 CHF (about US$238 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE - AUSTRIA. Rudolf II. 1576-1612 Taler 1603. Ensisheim. Sehr schön. Prägeschwäche. (Holy Roman Empire, Rudolf II, 1576-1612, thaler of 1603, Ensisheim mint. Very fine, Weak strike.)"

This product of the Ensisheim mint is listed for 1603, 1605 and 1608 and is rather scarce.
