This specimen was lot 1316 in Sedwick Treasure Auction 39 (Winter Park, FL, May 2026), where it sold for $3,360. The catalog description[1] noted, "SPAIN (Al-Andalus), Almoravids, Ishbiliya (Seville) إشبيلية, AV dinar, 'Ali ibn Yusuf, 517 AH (1123 AD), date with units in feminine form, NGC MS 64. Bold strike with full inscriptions, good luster per the grade. NGC #8437667-004." This type was struck at twenty mints in Morocco (Tlemcen, Marrakesh, Fez) and Spain (Almeria, Valencia, Granada, Malaga, Murcia, etc.). The Almoravid empire collapsed under Almohad attacks in 1146 AD.
