This specimen was lot 74106 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2023), where it sold for $216. The catalog description[1] noted, "AFGHANISTAN. 5 Rupees, AH 1327 Year 6 (1909). Habibullah. PCGS MS-40. This coin exhibits a generally uniform dove-gray toning throughout, with just a bit of variation. Slightly weakly struck in the center of the obverse, but impressive nonetheless." This type was struck AH 1322-1329 and is not common. This date, which we have marked AH 1327/6, is an overdate and does not have a Turkish style regnal date ("Year 6"). No regular date exists.
