Künker sale 386, lot 5695

This specimen was lot 5695 in Künker sale 386 (Osnabrück, March 2023), where it sold for €700 (about US$905 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SCHWEDEN, Karl IX. (1560-) 1604-1611. Mark 1607, Stockholm. Hübsche Patina, kl. Schrötlingsfehler am Rand, sehr schön-vorzüglich. (kingdom of Sweden, Charles IX, 1604-11, mark of 1607, Stockholm mint. Handsome patina, minor edge defects, very fine to extremely fine.)"

This type is listed for 1607-11 and is scarce. One mark was eight ore and eight marks about equal to a riksdaler.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 4.93 g, .021 fine silver (probably a misprint for 0.821 fine), this specimen 4.48 g.

Catalog reference: KM 22, SM (2022) 59.
