This specimen was lot 5006 in Goldberg sale 72 (Los Angeles, February 2013), where it sold for $437. The catalog description[2] noted, "Iran. Azadi, SH1374 (1995). Central Bank of Islamic Republic of Iran. Brilliant Uncirculated." This type, struck SH 1370-1375, was minted to the standard of a British sovereign. Gold half, 2½ and five azadis also exist. The coins generally trade as bullion coins.
