Peru 2008 centimo rev DSLR.jpg

This type, issued from 2005, replaced a brass centimo (KM 304) issued 1991-2006. In 1991, the currency was reformed, one nuevo sol = one million intis. Surprisingly enough, the nuevo sol has remained stable against the dollar (US$1 = S/. 2.77, October 2013).

Recorded mintage: 63,800,000.

Specification: 0.82 g, aluminum, 16 mm diameter.

Catalog reference: KM 303.4a.
