Iran AH 1153 rupi KM-A385.2
This specimen was lot 688 in Stephen Album sale 39 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2021), where it sold for $336. The catalog description[1] noted, "AFSHARID: Nadir Shah, 1735-1747, AR rupi, Bhakhar, AH1153, 1 tiny adhesion on the reverse, otherwise fabulous example for this mint, choice VF-EF." Besides Bhakar, which made this type AH 1153-1160, eleven other mints participated in striking rupis. The Bhakhar mint also produced other rupis, such as KM 393 (struck AH 1155, 1156, 1158) and KM 385.1 (struck AH 1159). Bhakhar is now in Afghanistan.
