Stack's Bowers October 2025 Collectors Choice sale, lot 73135

This specimen was lot 73135 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2025), where it sold for $4,080. The catalog description^[1] noted, "MEXICO. Aguascalientes. 5 Centavos, 1915. NGC MS-61 Brown. The sole finest example of this RARE type yet holdered by NGC, offering alluring details, and only the most limited signs of handling. Impressive and deserving of many excited pieces." This coin was issued by the Villistas and was accompanied by one, two and twenty centavos. Numerous varieties exist; the SCWC mentions large and small "5" and reeded and plain edge.
