This specimen was lot 27390 in Heritage sale 3031 (Dallas, January 2014), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "Rudolf II Taler 1610, MS62 NGC. Hall mint issue. Silvery toning with strong underlying luster. A great looking early Taler. Rudolf's Talers in mint state are seldom encountered." This period in Austrian coinage presents a bewildering array of thalers. For the Hall mint in 1610, we see Dav-3007, -3007A, -3007B, -3007C, -3007D and -3008; other mints contributed Dav-3037 (Vienna), -3039 (Vienna), -3310 (Graz) and -3314 (Klagenfurt).

Recorded mintage: unknown but common.

Specification: silver.

Catalog reference: Dav-3007, KM 118.1.
