This specimen was lot 29521 in Heritage sale 3037 (New York, January 2015), where it sold for $1,997.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Munster. Christof Bernhard von Galen Taler 1652 AU58 NGC. Nearly mint-state and attractive as such, this broad specimen features uniformly-toned steel gray patination with wear constrained to the highpoints. A scarcely encountered type in the marketplace, let alone in this state of preservation." All the thalers of Munster are scarce.
