Austria 1741 15 kreuzer
This specimen was lot 1455 in Sincona sale 76 (Zürich, May 2022), where it sold for 600 CHF (about US$728 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE - AUSTRIA. Maria Theresia, 1740-1780. 15 Kreuzer 1741, Wien. Gutes vorzüglich. NGC AU58. Feine Patina. (Austria, Maria Theresia, 1740-80, fifteen kreuzer of 1741, Vienna mint. Good extremely fine, Nicely toned.)"
This type was struck 1741-42 and was the first of this denomination for Maria Theresia. The last fifteen kreuzer was struck in 1750 (KM 1765) along with some with the bust of Francis I (KM 2025).
Recorded mintage: unknown but slightly scarce.
