This specimen was lot 1050 in Steve Album Auction 52 (Santa Rosa, CA, May 2025), where it sold for $288. The catalog description[1] noted, "SWEDEN: Karl XI, 1660-1697, AR 2 mark, 1671, minor reverse flan flaws, lustrous, XF-AU, ex Almer H. Orr III Collection." This type was struck 1670-77 in substantial quantities and many varieties and is fairly common today. The denomination was written either as "·II· M:" or "2 M", as here. A rare variety exists with the "2" reversed.

Specification: 10.40 g, 0.694 fine silver, 30-30.3 mm diameter, plain edge.
