from the Stack's Bowers February 2025 Collectors Choice sale, lot 76362

This specimen was lot 76362 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it did not sell. The catalog description^[1] noted, "SWITZERLAND. Vaud. 1/2 Batzen, 1819. NGC AU Details--Cleaned." This half batzen (or five rappen) was issued from the Swiss canton of Vaud 1804-19. Vaudois issues ended in 1831 except for a rare franc emitted 1845. Cantonal issues were terminated by the confederation of 1848.
