This specimen was lot 1644 in Sincona sale 82 (Zürich, May 2023), where it sold for 1,800 CHF (about US$2,409 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "Charles II. 1660-1685. Guinea 1671, London. Third laureate bust. Selten (Rare). NGC VF25." This scarce type was struck 1664-73. No guineas with the elephant below the bust were struck in 1671.
