Steve Album sale 51, lot 3688

This specimen was lot 3688 in Steve Album Auction 51 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2025), where it sold for $54. The catalog description[1] noted, "IRAN: Islamic Republic, 1 rial, 1979/SH1358, a wonderful example, NGC graded MS64." This type was struck by the ayatollah regime AH 1358-1367. All dates are common.

Recorded mintage: unknown but common.

Specifications: 1.8 g, copper-nickel, 18 mm diameter.
