Stack's Bowers September 2023 Collector's Choice sale, lot 74677

This specimen was lot 74677 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2023), where it sold for $80. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Wurttemberg. 6 Kreuzer, 1855. Wilhelm I. PCGS MS-66. An incredibly sharp example of this minor issue, with fully frosty surfaces and a muted gray tone." This type was struck 1842-56 and is common. One thaler was 120 kreuzer.
