Bonn during the Weimar Republic

In 1920, the Rhineland town of Bonn issued a set of ten, twenty-five and fifty pfennig notgeld honoring her native son, composer Ludwig van Beethoven. After World War Two, Bonn became the capital (1949-89) of West Germany.
