These specimens are part of sets issued by the Bavarian town of Rothenburg ob der Tauber in 1921, at the peak of the craze for notgeld. Twelve types were issued with the obverse noted "25 pfennig" and twelve more with the denomination abbreviated as "25 pf," each featuring different town landmarks.
