This specimen was lot 50393 in Ponterio sale 168 (Philadelphia, August 2012), where it sold for $141. The catalog description[1] noted, "DENMARK. 4 Skilling, 1764-HSK. NGC MS-65. Frederik V (1746-66)." This one year type, like many European minors, is scandalously undervalued. At the time, the monetary system was 12 penning = 1 skilling, 16 skillings = 1 mark, 4 mark = 1 krone, 6 mark = 1 daler specie, 2 daler specie = 1 ducat.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 2.75 g, .312 fine silver, .0276 troy oz ASW.

Catalog reference: KM-598; Sieg-4; H-39.
