The specimen shown is an example of a type struck in Berlin for Germany. Germany began minting euros in 2002. Production for circulation ceased in 2005 tho they are minted every year for collector sets. Specification: 7.5 g., Bi-Metallic Copper-Nickel center in Brass ring, 23.25 mm diameter. Obv: German eagle; Rev: Value at left, expanded relief map of European Union at right by Luc Luycx; Edge: Reeded and plain sections.
