Stack's Bowers September 2024 Collector's Choice sale, lot 74897

This specimen was lot 74897 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2024), where it sold for $65. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Trade Tokens. Middlesex. 1/2 Penny, ND (1790s). NGC AU-58 Brown. Obverse: Bust left, DUKE OF YORK around; Reverse: Female figure standing right, leaning against column, GOD SEND PEACE around. A deep chocolate brown patina graces this Token, with relatively few marks in the fields. A slight die clash is evident on the obverse."
