Jean Elsen sale 138, lot 692

This specimen was lot 692 in Jean Elsen sale 138 (Brussels, September 2018), where it sold for €260 (about US$361 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"LIEGE, Principauté, Louis de Bourbon (1456-1482), AR patard (aidant), 1479, Hasselt. Différent: tour. D/ Lion assis à g., soutenant l'écu incliné de Bourbon. R/ BN'DIC HEREDITATI TVE LXXIX Croix ornée. Rare Légère faiblesse de frappe. Très Beau. (prince-bishopric of Liège, Louis of Bourbon, 1456-82, silver patard of 1479, Hasselt mint, tower privy mark. Obverse: lion rampant to left, bearing the arms of Bourbon; reverse: ornate cross. Rare, slightly weakly struck, very fine.)"

The date is noted on the reverse as [MCCCC]LXXIX.
