This specimen was lot 70078 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, May 2020), where it sold for $384. The catalog description[1] noted, "BELGIUM. Liège. Patard, (14)78. Hasselt Mint. Louis de Bourbon. NGC EF-40. Obverse: Lion rampant, with coat-of-arms; Reverse: Voided cross fleuree; LXXVIII (=[14]78) in legend. From the popular "early dated" series, this example offers surprisingly complete legends and only light, even wear throughout. A decided cut above that which is usually encountered. In this case, the century (1400) is implied, with only the last two digits (78) rendered in roman numerals."
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: silver, this specimen 2.72 g.
Catalog reference: Lev-II-37.
