This specimen was lot 564 in Künker sale 293 (Osnabrück, Germany, July 2017), where it sold for €250 (about US$337 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"BRAUNSCHWEIG-WOLFENBÜTTEL, HERZOGTUM August Wilhelm, 1714-1731. 3 Groschen 1731, Braunschweig, auf seinen Tod. RR Fast vorzüglich. (Germany, duchy of Brunswick-Wolfenbuttel, Augustus William, 1714-31, three groschen of 1731, Brunswick mint, on the death of the duke. Rare, about extremely fine.)"
This is the only issue of this denomination from this state in the eighteenth century. It is expensive for a small German minor.
