This specimen was lot 4207 in Sincona sale 43 (Zürich, October 2017), where it sold for 8,000 CHF (about US$9,547 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Bern, Stadt und Kanton, Doppeldukat 1679. Sehr selten, Fast vorzüglich. (city and canton of Bern, double ducat of 1679. Very rare. About extremely fine.)"
Another rare and expensive gold issue from this canton of Switzerland.
