Goldberg sale 112, lot 1938

This specimen was lot 1938 in Goldberg sale 112 (Los Angeles, September 2019), where it sold for $144. The catalog description[1] noted, "Austria. 3 Kreuzer, 1698-IA. Graz mint. Leopold I, The Hogmouth. Laureate head right. Reverse; Shields. Choice brilliant mint luster. NGC graded MS-64." This type was struck at Graz 1658-1705 and is common. Mintmaster IA is listed for 1695-1705. Three kreuzer were also struck at St. Veit (KM 1116), Vienna (KM 1169), Hall (KM 1356), Kuttenberg (KM 606) and Prague (KM 590).
