This specimen was lot 2475 in Sincona sale 59 (Zurich, October 2019), where it sold for 300 CHF (about US$363 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"TÜRKEI, Republik, seit 1923. 500 Lira 1973. Auf das 50-jährige Jubiläum der Republik. Kopf Atatürks von vorn Rv. Komet. FDC. (republic of Turkey, since 1923, five hundred lira of 1973, on the 50th anniversary of the republic. Obverse: head of Ataturk; reverse: comet. Uncirculated.)"
This NCLT was the first issue of this denomination. It was accompanied by a silver 100 lira (KM 903).
