Aureo y Calicó sale 422, lot 3487

This specimen was lot 3487 in Aureo y Calicó sale 422 (Barcelona, December 2023), where it sold for 13 € (about US$17 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "Turquía. 1973. 100 liras. 50º Aniversario de la República. AG. S/C- [silver 100 lira, 50th anniversary of the republic, about uncirculated]." This NCLT accompanied a gold 500 lira (Fr-223). The bust is of Kemal Ataturk, founder of the republic of Turkey.

Recorded mintage: 65,000 plus "prooflikes".

Specification: 22 g, 0.900 fine silver, 0.636 troy oz ASW; this specimen 21,91 g.
