This type was struck 1874-75, 1882-91, of which only the 1889 and 1891 are common. It is part of the reform of 1874 which decimalized Danish coinage, dropping the old skillings, rigsbankdalers and fredericks d'or. This coin was struck to the same standard as the Swedish ten öre.

Recorded mintage: 1,030,000.

Specification: 1.45 g, 0.400 fine silver, 16 mm diameter.
