This specimen was lot 3884 in Stephen Album sale 50 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2024), where it sold for $204. The catalog description[1] noted, "PATAN: Srinivasa Malla, 1661-1685, AR mohar, NS786 (1666), a scarce type, About XF, ex Dr. Robert A. Rosenfeld Collection." The SCWC notes that the mohar was introduced during the reign of Lakshmi Narasimha to displace the debased tanka coinage. The mohar was half a rupee and coins were minted down to 1/128 mohar. Varieties KM 307 and KM 308 exist for the date but the low resolution photos in the SCWC make attribution difficult.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: 5.34 g, silver, this specimen 5.32 g.
Catalog reference: KM-308.
