Stolberg-Stolberg 1736-IIG 2/3 thaler
This specimen was lot 1364 in Künker sale 293 (Osnabruck, Germany, July 2017), where it sold for €200 (about US$270 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"STOLBERG, STOLBERG-STOLBERG UND STOLBERG-ROSSLA, Christof Friedrich zu Stolberg-Stolberg und Jost Christian zu Stolberg-Rossla, 1704-1738. 2/3 Taler 1736, Stolberg. Ausbeute der Stolberger Gruben. Vorzüglich. Exemplar der Slg. Bernhard Terletzki. Exemplar der Auktion Fritz Rudolf Künker 24, Osnabrück 1993, Nr. 2329. (Germany, county of Stolberg, joint issue of Christof Friedrich of Stolberg-Stolberg and Jost Christian of Stolberg-Rossla, 1704-38, two-thirds thaler of 1736, Stolberg mint, for the mines. Extremely fine.)"
The SCWC lists numerous 2/3 thalers (KM 151, 165, 183, 197, 212, 211, 251, 275, 277, 296, 308, 330) as well as 24 mariengroschen (different denomination, same weight, see KM 117, KM 134, 195, 286, 294, 315, 269). None are common but are much more available than the rare thalers such as Dav-2799.
