This copper centavo was minted in Santiago, Chile, in 1904 and 1908. It superseded a copper type of 1878-98 (KM 146a) with a different liberty head. The type is not rare but uncirculated specimens are few.

Recorded mintage: 970,000.

Specification: copper, plain edge.
