This specimen was lot 6061 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2017), where it sold for $211.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "AUSTRIA. Florin, 1885. PCGS MS-66 Secure Holder. Packed with full satin luster without interruption or signs of handling. Some speckled light golden orange toning in peripheries. The finest certified example." The florin superseded the old half thaler and was struck 1857-92 with various busts of Franz Josef. This is a common date.
