This specimen was lot 45336 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Chicago, August 2024), where it sold for $192. The catalog description[1] noted, "AUSTRIA. Florin (Gulden), 1888. Vienna Mint. Franz Joseph I. NGC MS-64." The florin superseded the old half thaler and was struck 1857-92 with various busts of Franz Josef. This is a common date.

Recorded mintage: 6,572,000.

Specification: 12.34 g, 0.900 fine silver, .357 troy oz AGW, 29.2 mm diameter.
