This specimen was lot 1945 in Sincona sale 59 (Zürich, October 2019), where it sold for 230 CHF (about US$279 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE - AUSTRIA, Franz Joseph I. 1848-1916. Dukat 1884, Wien. Fast FDC. Kleine Kratzer. Kleiner Randfehler. (empire of Austria-Hungary, Francis Joseph I, 1848-1916, ducat of 1884, Vienna mint. About uncirculated, Small scratches, Minor edge flaw.)"
This type was struck 1872-1914 and is common. The SCWC notes that more were restruck after World War One but does not state which dates. No mintmark appears on this type. Gold ducats were struck throughout Franz Josef's long reign and come in many types.
