Regensburg 1520 pfennig
This specimen was lot 3030 in Künker sale 405 (Osnabruck, March 2024), where it sold for €120 (about US$158 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"DIE REICHSSTADT REGENSBURG. DIE ZEIT DES KAISERS KARL V., 1520-1556. Prägungen aus der ersten Regensburger Münzperiode bis 1534 nach der bayerischen Münzordnung von 1506/1507. Pfennig 1520. Münzmeister vermutlich Martin Lerch. Sehr schön +. (city of Regensburg, pfennig of 1520, struck in the name of Charles V. Very fine or better.)"
This pfennig was struck 1508-11, 1515-16, 1520, 1524-36, 1540 and 1546-51 thru the reigns of emperors Maximilian and Charles V. It has a low catalog value.

Specification: 0.70 g, 0.437 fine silver, 15-16 mm diameter, this specimen 0,54 g.
