The specimen shown is a peso from the Bogotá mint, one of a type struck 1855-59 while the country was known as "Nueva Granada." The design was changed 1859-61 to read "Granadine Confederation." The specimen shown here is the overdate, 1858/7, and is awarded a slight premium.

Specification: 25 g, 0.900 fine silver, .7234 troy oz ASW.
