This specimen was lot 4223 in Sincona sale 43 (Zurich, October 2017), where it sold for 250 CHF (about US$298 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Bern, Stadt und Kanton, Batzen 1818. FDC, NGC MS67. (city and canton of Bern, one batzen of 1818. Uncirculated.)"

Ten batzen made a frank and four franken made a thaler. The last Bernese coin is a rappen dated 1836. The confederation of 1848 ended cantonal issues.
