This specimen was lot 483 in Sincona sale 78 (Zurich, October 2022), where it sold for 375 CHF (about US$450 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "RUSSIA | Russian Empire and Federation | Nicholas I. 1825-1855, 1 Grosz 1840, Warsaw Mint, MW. Rare in this condition. Extremely fine-uncirculated." This type was struck in Warsaw 1835-41 and is fairly common in worn condition. One zloty was thirty groszy.
