Surinam 1982 5 cents rev DSLR.jpg

This type was struck 1976-86 by the Utrecht mint for the former Dutch colony of Surinam, which obtained independence in 1975. It is descended from a nickel-brass type (KM 12.1) struck 1962-72.

Recorded mintage: 1,000,000.

Specification: 1.24 g, aluminum, 20 mm diameter.
