This specimen was lot 1891 in Goldberg sale 128 (Los Angeles, June 2022), where it sold for $78. The catalog description[1] noted, "German States: Württemberg-OLS. 15 Kreuzer, 1675-SP. Sylvius Friedrich. Bust right. Reverse: Eagle. NGC graded EF-40." Altho Wurttemberg is in Swabia, the southwest of Germany, the duchy of Oels is in Silesia, where a scion of the Wurttemberg dukes married the heiress of one of the original (pre-Austrian) Polish dukes. The dukes struck this denomination 1674-79 and 1694. This type is noted for 1674-75. In the late seventeenth century, one thaler was ninety kreuzer, making this coin one-sixth of a thaler.
