from the Stack's Bowers June 2021 Collector's Choice sale, lot 70448

This specimen was lot 70448 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, June 2021), where it sold for $192. The catalog description^[1] noted, "CANADA. Cent, 1901. London Mint. Victoria. NGC MS-63 Red. Fully red and highly vibrant, this choice piece offers a dazzling look and emanates from the final year of the reign of Victoria." This type was struck 1870-1901 in large quantities and is readily available in grades up to brown Uncirculated. This is a common date.
