This specimen was lot 70448 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, June 2021), where it sold for $192. The catalog description[1] noted, "CANADA. Cent, 1901. London Mint. Victoria. NGC MS-63 Red. Fully red and highly vibrant, this choice piece offers a dazzling look and emanates from the final year of the reign of Victoria." This type was struck 1870-1901 in large quantities and is readily available in grades up to brown Uncirculated. This is a common date.

Specification: 5.67 g, bronze, 25.4 mm diameter, plain edge.
