The first specimen was lot 2354 in Aureo y Calico sale 232 (Barcelona, Spain, March 2011), where it sold for 40 euros (about $66 with buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"1811. Catalunya. 1 cuarto y medio. MBC-. (Catalonia, one and a half cuartos, nearly extremely fine.)"
This copper coin was issued from Barcelona after the French occupation for use there and in Catalonia. It was struck 1811-13 and accompanied by a three and six cuartos (sometimes spelled "quartos"). In the local currency, five pesetas = one peso. This coin is not common. The last local Catalonian issue is a rare six quartos dated 1848.
