This specimen was issued by Jamaica as part of the F.A.O. series. Jamaica in the Caribbean is not usually considered to be in need of food aid but its economy has suffered since the collapse of its sugar plantations in the mid-nineteenth century. This specimen is a product of the Royal Mint in London; the Franklin mint also struck this type for the sets it marketed in the seventies.

Recorded mintage: 15,000,000.

Specification: 1.22 g, aluminum, 21.08 mm diameter.

Catalog reference: KM 64.
