This specimen is one of a type struck at Copenhagen for Denmark 1929-40 and 1946-47. During the war, the Nazis issued this denomination in zinc. In 1948, the design was modified to mark the accession of the new king Frederik IX. The denomination was converted to bronze in 1990.
