This specimen was lot 3332 in Sincona sale 39 (Zürich, May 2017), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,
"Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, Ernst II. 1844-1893 Taler 1852. Vorzüglich-FDC. (Germany, duchy of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, Ernest II, 1844-93, thaler of 1852. Extremely fine-uncirculated.)"
This thaler was struck 1851-52. It is scarce but not rare.
Recorded mintage: 8,000.
Specification: 22.27 g, 0.750 fine silver, this specimen 22.28 g.
