Hohenzollern-Hechingen 1841 gulden
This specimen was lot 1168 in Sincona sale 66 (Zurich, October 2020), where it sold for 250 CHF (about US$329 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"DEUTSCHLAND | Hohenzollern-Hechingen, Fürstentum | misc. Friedrich Wilhelm Constantin, 1838-1849. Gulden 1841, München. . Selten. Sehr schön-vorzüglich. (Germany, principality of Hohenzollern-Hechingen, Frederick William Constantine, 1838-49, gulden of 1841, Munich mint. Rare, Very fine-extremely fine.)"
This type was struck 1839-47 and is scarce. The prince, panicked by the revolution of 1848, abdicated and his realm absorbed into Prussia.
