This specimen was lot 72321 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, June 2020), where it sold for $132. The catalog description[1] noted, "DENMARK. 1/2 Krone, 1625. Copenhagen Mint. Christian IV. PCGS F-12 Gold Shield. Rather well worn and circulated, but nevertheless a charming minor with an expressive portrait of the king." This type was struck 1624-25 and is very rare in better grade than that shown here. The mintmark is the club or clover after the date.
